Woodshed Coffee & Tea will rebrand in early 2024 to tmrw.coffee. What & Why For the past couple of years, we've been selling tmrw.coffee branded items, preparing for a rebrand that would bring you, our valued customers, a more focused retail experience for coffee and an exciting push into e-commerce for our tea brand -- Woodshed Tea. The time for that exciting change has finally arrived! There is no change in ownership, just a nudge in direction and strategy. Below is a little history and an explanation of the shift. We started 2015 importing and selling tea under the Woodshed Tea brand, and for the first three years, our focus and energy were solely on e-commerce and killed it!! Our success in tea allowed us to launch our shop in 2018, and we are forever grateful to Caleb Arter at Blue 7 for seeing the opportunity for a connected shop and giving us a runway to launch. We loved being connected to Blue 7, as the intermingling of customers boosted our brands. It was a #win-win. In 2020, our breezeway closed to welcome new neighbors: Preacher Pottery (https://www.preacherpottery.com) , CYL Infrared Studio (https://cylinfraredstudio.com/studio/oklahoma-city-ok) , and 3113 Nail Studio (https://www.3113.studio) . These incredible teams have brought a new dynamic to our side of May Avenue, and we couldn't imagine a better set of neighbors to work beside. The closing of the breezeway was a win for our block of shops, but I would be lying if we didn't miss the "shared shop" traffic and community! So, we began to assess a lot of things as a business and settled on the following two issues as needing to be right-sided: 1. Woodshed is known for its matcha, but lattes rule the sales reports. Our tea continues to take a back seat to our coffee, which is not surprising, as our coffee is incredible!! 2. Woodshed is still a tea-forward brand, as our socials are @woodshedtea, which confuses some at best and deters "coffee lovers" at worst. We can do better on both fronts -- first, we need to get back to our roots in tea by letting Woodshed Tea (https://woodshedtea.com) shine solely as a tea brand with all its products and history. Second, by elevating our tmrw.coffee brand to be our leading retail brand, especially as we look to expand our footprint in 2024 to another location with a mobile and text order-friendly drive-thru. The future is coffee and tea; by separating concerns, we can act intentionally as we market each brand independently. Thanks for your continued support of our shop and our team. Hi, My name is Bella Delgado, and I am the owner and baker of Que Bella Bakery. I have always been passionate about food and had dreams of owning my own bakery. At fourteen I found out I was gluten intolerant. I thought the dream of baking full time was over. I began eating gluten-free and realized while many people are also gluten-free, there are not many gluten-free options out there. I went back to the kitchen, tested recipes, tested gluten-free flour, and began baking gluten-free treats. Finally, I had delicious gluten-free treats. My purpose at Que Bella Bakery is to bake the most delicious gluten-free sweets in the Oklahoma City area. IDENTIFY Identify families in need of our services through partnering organizations We closely partner with local social service agencies to identify families in the greater Oklahoma City metro area who are ready for our services. Partnering agencies submit referral applications for families they know quality for our program. Each family selected for the program is on their own personal journey to a better life situation and have a documented history of working toward their goals with the agencies who refer them. Each family accepted into our program has found permanent housing and is able to maintain that housing. INTERVIEW Interview family to understand their specific needs. Each family in our program is assigned their own personal Family Coordinator. The Family Coordinator meets with the family to assess their specific needs. CREATE Create a customized furniture/furnishings package using gently used donated items. The Family Coordinator is now able to create a furniture/furnishings package specifically for the needs of this family. The Focus on Home warehouse is stocked with the majority of all the items needed to fulfill the needs of the family. The items in the warehouse are gently used donations from the Oklahoma City community. In addition to the donated items, each family is allocated $500 that goes towards new items to fill gaps in our donations (like cribs and new pillows) – each family member also receives a brand new bed. MOVE-IN Set up a family’s home on their “Move-In Day” with a group of volunteers. It’s Move-In Day – the day it all comes together! Volunteers work with the Family Coordinator and the family to set up the new home. It’s an exciting, fun, emotional day – in a few hours our volunteers see how their time and energy completely transforms the life of an Oklahoma City family. Not only does a comfortable, dignified home emerge from various donated item; but our volunteers see how the process of creating a home environment completely transforms the overall well being of the family they are working with. Hi, I’m Tiffany! I grew up learning to bake in my grandma’s kitchen, where there was always a pan of cake on the counter. With nearly every trip through the kitchen, we’d stop, grab a fork, and get a taste. I grew up with my grandma, and she showed me the way around a kitchen. While I wouldn’t say I use her recipes, per se, I definitely use her processes. 2012: YUKON BAKERY OPENS. A few short years later, we had severely outgrown our home kitchen. We took the leap, and opened our first brick-and-mortar storefront called ButterSweet Cakes. Custom cakes were the primary focus, but we also sold our recipes in the form of cupcakes. As fate would have it, cupcakes exploded in popularity and eventually became the majority of the business. 2015: EDMOND BAKERY OPENS. With things in Yukon going so well, we decided to take another big leap and open a second cupcake bakery, this time on the west side of Edmond. We opened in July of 2015 with crowds waiting. 2018: COFFEE BAR OPENS. With such a strong cupcake following, we decided it was time to pair them with great coffee. ABOUT ASPEN COFFEE COMPANY Aspen Coffee is Oklahoma's Original craft-coffee. We've been roasting our coffee in small batches for the freshest beans possible, in Stillwater, OK since 1994. To insure the absolute best drinks, our baristas hand-craft each one on a La Marzocco espresso machine. (we will never use automatic machines; we promise) We think you're worth it. Since 1994 Sure, we think the coffee is great. And we obsess over every step in the process. We roast it fresh and pamper it all the way to the cup. All the coffee we send out is roasted to order making it is as fresh as it can be. We use manual espresso machines, kickin’ it old school.
